What I Believe
so far, for now...
I believe
There is a God.He is loving, accepting, omniscient, present.
(She – Shekinah) is nurturing, supportive, giving.God is in everyone.
God speaks to each of us.
Only some of us listen consistently.
Even fewer act on what we hear.We are all healers.
Only some of us know that we are.We are all angels and guides for each other.
Only some of us realize it at any given moment.I believe
We live many lifetimes.
Our souls incarnate to learn certain lessons.
The people in our lives are here to help us discover our True Self.Often the people who cause us the most pain teach us what we
need to know about ourselves.
Only some of us pay attention.I believe
We bring people into our lives for a reason.
God is in each of them.
Only some of us see that.I believe
Those of us who see, know, feel, believe are blessed with that awareness.
We can have compassion for the rest of us who are in pain.I believe our pain is caused by our expectations.
Our expectations come from our ego’s desires.
Our desires come in relation to the wounds we suffered in our past.
We can heal those wounds.
We can let go of our expectations.
We can live pain-free.I believe pain is our catalyst for growth.
If we choose to grow.I believe when we get lost in our stories, we are stuck.
When we blame others we are not looking at what we’re to learn.
We cannot grow.
I believe we grow as we move through our pain to see the lessons we are to learn.I believe we heal as we forgive ourselves and others for the choices made.
I believe we help others heal when we apologize for our choices that hurt them.
I believe compassion and empathy create miracles.I believe we need to feel our feelings and express them appropriately.
I believe all feelings can be acknowledged.I believe that acceptance leads to an expanded awareness of ourselves and others.
I believe that acceptance sets us free.
I believe once we accept what is, we have choices on how to act.I believe our actions can reflect our compassion for ourselves as well as for others.
I believe we all don’t have the same beliefs.
And each person’s beliefs are what they need at the time.
To the extent they hurt no one else, they are fine.
To the extent they hurt someone else, they are not.We can’t change anyone else’s beliefs.
We can have empathy for the wounds that caused those beliefs.
We can change our proximity to those people.
We can learn something they may be here to teach us.I believe
I finally know what I believe.
And for that, I am grateful.
And for those with whom I can share my beliefs, I am blessed.TYDGA (Thank You, Dear God, Amen)
What do YOU believe?
I’d love to know.
